The Jamaican Jerk Cook Off Festival & Fundraiser is a family-friendly event benefiting My Yute Soccer. Funds raised allow the My Yute Soccer team to continue providing free soccer camps and a teen mentor program for the general public.
Sharon B “Pan Woman” and Tropix
Sharon B, also known as Pan Woman, was born and raised on the island of Trinidad & Tobago. At age 13, she fell in love with the steel drums and has been playing ever since.
In 1994, Sharon toured the U.S. with Our Boys Steel Orchestra. Due to the demand for the steel drums in the Bay Area, she decided to stay and play!
For the 2018 Jerk Cook Off, she will be joined by Tropix, bringing a blend of soca, reggae, and world music.
